Custom Bronze Boy Making Pottery Fountain Sculpture

SRB10137 Custom Bronze 'Henry making Pottery' Fountain Sculpture SCALE WM

At Metropolitan Galleries, some of our most meaningful projects are those that tell a story—of love, legacy, and remembrance. One such project is a custom bronze fountain sculpture created in memory of Henry Foy, a young boy from Jamestown, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of five due to a rare medical condition. This special piece was developed in collaboration with Henry’s mother, Laura Foy, and with support from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Henry was a creative and gentle soul who found joy in working with his hands, especially through pottery. To honor this passion, we designed a touching depiction of Henry seated at a pottery wheel. Water softly bubbles up from the clay form at the center of the wheel, flowing through his hands and into the bowl beneath—a symbolic representation of the creativity and spirit that poured out of him during his brief but impactful life.

The bronze fountain is permanently installed at Haynes-Inman Education Center in Jamestown, North Carolina, where it now serves as a place of reflection, beauty, and inspiration for all who pass by. It’s more than just a sculpture—it’s a story cast in bronze, a quiet reminder of how even the smallest hands can shape something lasting.

At Metropolitan Galleries, we are humbled and honored to have been part of this tribute to Henry’s life and legacy. His memory lives on in art, in water, and in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
